Hirohisa Uchida


Curriculum Vitae
  • Professor Uchida is the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Kanagawa Science Park Inc. (KSP), Japan.
  • He is also a Professor of Engineering at Tokai University.
  • In addition, he is the President of Asian Science Park Association (ASPA), Fellow & Vice President of the International Association for Hydrogen Energy (IAHE), Honorary Editor of Journal of Alloys and Compounds (JALCOM), Editorial Executive Board Member of International Journal of Hydrogen Energy (IJHE), both are published by Elsevier.
  • After he got his Doctor's Degree in Metallurgy from University of Stuttgart, Germany (1977), he worked at Max-Planck-Institute (MPI) for Metals Research, Stuttgart, Germany.
  • He then joined Tokai University, Japan, as Assistant Professor (1981), and was promoted to Associate Professor (1985), then to Professor (1990).
  • In that year he became the Leader of “UCHIDA Super-Magnetic Materials Project”, Kanagawa Academy of Science & Technology (KAST), Kanagawa, Japan, then became the Executive Director of the Division of Research Administration (University-Industry-Government Collaboration, Intellectual Property), at Tokai University, to become later a Member of University-Industry-Government Collaboration Committee of UNESCO, then the Executive Director of Future Science & Technology Joint Research Center. Between (2003-2009) he was the Dean of School of Engineering at Tokai University, and between (2007-2009) Vice Chancellor, to become later (2011-2013) a Counselor of Governor, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, until he became the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Kanagawa Science Park Inc. (KSP).
